The
Foundation Programme is a six month intensive programme which is designed to
be an entry level programme into the main diploma programmes at IDEAL.
It focuses on the building of basic technical skills.
It is designed to concentrate also on developing visualisation abilities
along with strong conceptual skills.
The programme provides an exposure to various media and techniques which are
considered to be pre-requisites to the field of design whatever the chosen
discipline.
It is a research oriented programme and the student is encouraged to present
papers and make presentations on various subjects that are explored during
the course of the programme.

• The Study of Perspectives (vertical, linear, elliptical and circular),
• Composition and Visualisation Techniques and Exercises,
• Rendering in Half Tones, Monochromatic Exercises,
• Introduction to Water-Colour,
• Introduction to Charcoal,
• History of Art, an Introduction,
• Introduction to Computers
• Introduction to Glass/Wood /Textile/Metal

The Entrance test is designed to test the aptitude of the
applicant.
It assesses the student on colour sensibility and awareness.
Drawing and Visualisation Skills
(The emphasis is more on visualisation and conceptual abilities) No special preparation is necessary and students are urged
to remain
spontaneous in their approach to art. |
