The Fabric diploma program at IDEAL is designed to expose the student to both the world of Fashion and that of Soft Furnishings.


Structure

It is an intensive program that introduces the student to the intricacies of working with different fabrics.
It exposes the student to basic and advanced techniques of fabric processing using cold and hot dyeing techniques using both natural and chemical dyeing processes.
The programme also employs several hand dyeing techniques and includes block and screen printing techniques.
Programme Content

The programme is divided into two main streams:
Apparels
Soft Furnishings

Garment Construction & Draping

 Home furnishing design and construction
Pattern making Introduction to basic cutting and assembly of products
Dyeing Project design
Fashion Illustration & Portfolio Design and presentation Coordinated interiors for homes and offices
Eligibility Criteria

• Students who have passed the 10th grade
• Graduates from other disciplines.

The Foundation Programme at IDEAL is compulsory for this Specialisation.
